I’m picking up a car at the KC Copart today  (more on that later). I’m hoping it’s good, but if something goes wrong would any of you be willing to store the car for me? Hopefully it won’t be needed but I don’t want to have to pay for a 2 hour tow.

Im of no help, but I am interested in how your dealings with Copart go. Have you bought from them before? I have toyed with the idea of buying a project or a parts car off of Copart but it seems like I could get totally screwed very easily.

First time, I’ve heard good things as long as you are willing to accept the risk. For me, worst case scenario of a blown engine or bad transmission, I won’t be out much money. Best case scenario, my fiancee will have a solid reliable car that looks like golf-ball.

I’ve already paid for it, so no going back now.

Thats what I figure, risk it for the bi scuit. Id only risk like $1k, figure $2k with all the fees. Its a lot of fun to look at theft recoveries, vandalism, and hazardous vehicles. So many stories, so much potential! Good luck, cant wait to see what sort of hail-damaged goodness youve acquired!

Yep, I’m in it less than $1k OTD. Hopefully it’s good and I’ll have it back tomorrow afternoon . Hint is 2007 , cheap, didn’t realize it was supercharged until after I won

I had a few of those as rentals/loaners back in the day.  They have some of the most comfortable seats I’ve ever enjoyed.

Thank you! And she absolutely loves it, it made the trip without any issues. No warning lights, pulls strong and shifts good. Might need shocks at some point but at the end of the day it’s a $920  beater
